Plot Summary

Dreams of Chonta is the story of Diego Obregon, an Afro-Colombian undocumented immigrant willing to sacrifice everything for his dreams. His unique rhythms from the Pacific coast of Colombia, and his stubborn perseverance, give him a fighting edge in the harsh New York music scene. But there are even stronger forces pulling at him from back home - and away from the opportunity he seeks in America.
