Plot Summary

Kurt Russell and Tim Matheson star in this classic epic, based on the all-time favorite western theme - the cattle drive. To save an old friend's ranch, the Beaudine brothers round up a gang of misfits to drive a huge herd to market. Join the fast and furious action when a stableman, a retired gunslinger, a dried-out drunk and a couple of sneaky rustlers, hit the dusty trail. This band of undesirables is forced to prove their grit as they fight to stay alive against hostile Indians, stampedes, drought, and just plain bad luck on "The Longest Drive."
