Plot Summary

A convinced communist, engineer Petrescu comes into conflict with party secretary Stoian, who refuses to see the difficulties Petrescu encounters on a large construction site. Because Petrescu, supported by the young secretary Duma, had the courage to expose all the flaws of the grandiose project to Stoian, he is expelled from the party and then arrested.
