Plot Summary

Nick and Nora Charles visit Nick's parents in Nick's hometown of Sycamore Springs. His father Bertram doesn't think much of Nick's career choice and Nora does her best to impress upon Bertram just how great a detective Nick is. This includes indicating to the press that Nick is here on a case. The town is a very peaceful and law-abiding one but Nick soon has an actual murder case on his hands.
